Statement of Faith

Bible

We believe the Bible, meaning both the Old and New Testaments were verbally inspired of God and are inerrant in their original writings and that it is the final authority for our faith and life.
(2 Tim 3:16-17, 1 Pet 1:20-21)

Humankind

We are sinners and that by His death on the cross, the Lord Jesus Christ made perfect atonement for sin, redeeming us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse in our place.
(Rom 3:23, John 3:16, Gal 3:13)

Faith

All those who by faith receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour, and confess Him as Saviour become heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ.
(Rom 10:9-10, Eph 2:8-9, Rom 8:16-17, John 1:12)

God

There is one God, Holy, eternally existing and manifesting Himself to us in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is merciful and loves us but is also a just God and must punish sin.
(John 3:16, 14:6, Exodus 34:6-7)

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is God incarnate. He was supernaturally conceived, born of the Virgin Mary, was put to death by crucifixion under Pontius Pilate, was raised from the dead on the third day and now sits at the Father’s right hand from whence He is coming again personally bodily and visibly to this earth.
(Luke 1:25-35, 1 Cor 15:3-4, John 1:12-14, John 14:6)

Holy Spirit

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling enables the Christian to live a godly life.  (John 3:5-8; Acts 1:8, 4:31; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 2:14; Galatians 5:16-18; Ephesians 6:12; Colossians 2:6-10, Rom 8:9, 1 Cor 12:13-14, Eph 1:13, 4:4-5)

Grace

Eternal life is a free gift and cannot be earned. By grace we are saved through faith and not by our own works.
(Eph 2:8-9, Rom 6:23)

Judgment

Those who reject God, the testimony He gave of His Son, the saving work of Jesus Christ will be judged and punished for their sin and will remain eternally separated from God.
(John 3:3-6, 16:7-11, Jude 14-15)
